US Toy finds

I finished my VOTC collection, and my buddy gave me 4 redemption forms and 20 proofs!!!! to send away for my Bobas. Because i hate opening my figures.

I was going to give him $2 a proof but ended up trading him some old POTF figures he wanted. Deluxe Boba Fett with jet pack, Green Card Jedi Luke, Red Card Luke Degobah, and one other figure I can't remember off hand.

Basically I would have tried to get $3 a piece for these except for Boba so I think I made out ok.

Dude I had a TON of the old POTF2 red cards, including some of the oddball variants (long lightsaber Luke & Obi-Wan, the Boba Fett with the half circle on his hand, the brown vested Jedi Luke, etc) but I sold them a few years back.

And yeah the Masterpiece Grimmy is just about the coolest TF made so far.
I finally took him out of the box, but I felt like I needed to buy him dinner or something first.
He comes with his crown and his eyes & sword light up, and his fingers are individually poseable!

found some new Star Wars vintage last night, incl. a retro version of the Ep.III Darth Sidious and the variant 1st issue mislabeled Anakin Skywalker.

saw some new Marvel, too. Winter Soldier is pretty sweet but FUCK why did they decide to do a fan's choice MJ, then turn her into a friggin' she-male??

Gol, words fail me as to how bad the female figures are for MU. I mean cant they just fucking loo or use the damn GI Joe model?

anyone who missed the IM2 Whiplash, Target has a 3-pack w/him, Mark V IM & a Sea Drone that looks pretty sweet.
I also saw a pretty badass remote control IM that fires missles & stuff. Then there's a new convoy truck that converts into a lab, it was all part of a new endcap they were putting together, I guess to promote the DVD release.

Found the Green Lantern box set at Walmart.
$55 and the only figure I really want is Guy Gardner, so I pass.

There were new TRU display stands with IM, MU, and Spiderman,

I got there late it was pretty picked clean.

Was there an IM Black Widow included?
Or either of the 2 Drones?

I still need two of each of these.

MU I saw Ghost Rider, Mystic, Multiple Man, Green HULK, Colossus, Wolverine Spy?, Captian Britian, and the Wrecker.

So far I haven't seen the movie Black Widow.
I did hear she might be in some kind of box set w/Nick Fury, though.

Ha! TRU has Robot Chicken figures.

I bought the humping robot. He comes with the washing machine but you can wind him up & he humps anything. So now I make him hump the coffee cup and my daughter laughs & claps everytime.

The new Tron figures look like ASS! The 3-inch figures are about the same shitty quality as the Percy Jackson toys that are still taking up space & the lightcycle doesn't even have a ripcord action.
Supposedly the 6-inch ones are better, they have talking & light up animated features, and those lightcycles can really drive up a wall.

Saw the MU Galactus for the first time in person...that fucker's HUGE! Seriously he's big enough to start a fight with the AT-AT.

I fucking LOVE that giant sized Slave 1! But it's $109 and is painted up in Clone Wars colors. If I'm gonna pay that much then I'll wait for the ESB repaint & hope it comes w/a new Han in Carbonite

Saw the Machete figure...looks cool but the post is kinda dumb without the limo roof base. It looks like he pulled his back out or something. I'll wait 'til he's bussed down to $8 bucks like the Perseus & Johan Hex figures.

Really dig the NECA Jason...sorry Mezco but yours sucks balls compared to this one. You get both the sackhead & hockey mask head, and he's more poseable.

I saw some new IM2 figures at Walmart the other day, too. There's the movie figure painted up in the Ultimate armor, and 2 new Drones, which I picked up & look pretty sweet. Still no sign of Black Widow but looks like the single carded Whiplash is getting rereleased.

Haven't bought a hell of a lot, though. mostly sticking to blu-rays & video games as of late.

Yeah I came home with that Galactus this past weekend.
I love the look but not the voice. When did Galactus start talking like Ben Grim?

I stopped collecting Clone Wars Stuff. But I'm thinking about getting that Slave 1.
But it will have to be sealed in shipping box for me to do so. They had about 15 for sale but none in box so I left without one. The same goes for the Vintage At At. I'm still collecting Vintage figures and waiting for my Mail Away Fetts to show up. They cashed my checks like 2 months ago. wtf? My buddy got me a UGH FOIL Magna Guard the last figure I need right now to have my usual quota. Bring on the Jedi Wave!

I also bought the TRU IM 4 pack with Nick Fury and the 2 drones. Not bad looking box set. I have to get the K-Mart set yet with the repaints of HULK Buster IM.

I had Masterpiece Grimlock in my cart, but when I came upon the Galactus back to the shelf he went. Deciding factors were:
- He wasn't mint
- he was super sized, not like the original version
- It was $69.99!!!!

I also picked up a TRU repainted Flash.

And a Lego TRU Delivery Truck. Those things go fast. I got the last one.

Duuuude, you should've gone with Grimlock. It's a badass figure.

Well if it was done like the original version, in the style of all the other G1 releases then yes I would have bought both of the ones they had on the shelf. It seems like a new figure now since it's over twice the size.

Also finally got Recondo. I swear they made him to look like Jesse Ventura from Predator.
Also picked up the Universal Monsters from Diamond. The comic shop versions of the Mummy & The Creature are totally worth the extra money. I think there's only one version of the Wolfman, so I went ahead & got him at TRU. Even though he's not poseable from the waist down, they look friggin' sweet on their bases. Good buys!

I just don't like the New Joes. They look disproportionate, their legs are too long or something. So I am not collecting the new series.

What's the articulation like on the Mummy's arms?

The Previews excl. version that comes with the sarcophagus has his arms crossed over his chest, so they don't move.
The TRU version with the base has ball-jointed arms w/elbow & wrist articluation.

Yeah that's what I thought, I may just pick up the basic version then.

I ended up buying both, but I opened the Previews one.
That sarcophagus is fucking HUGE! And it's heavy, too. They had to reinforce the blister cards to keep the bubble from tearing off.
Plus it just makes for a way, way better display.
And his eyes are closed, so the head sculpt is different, too.

But if you're getting the creature, for sure get the Previews one. It's basically the same figure & you get the girl and a way bigger base for a few dollars more!

I think I'll end up grabbing the Minimates, too. They're pretty cool.
It really sucks we have to wait a whole year for Frankenstein & The Bride.
Maybe by then they can deliver a Bela Lugosi Dracula...or even get the license to do a Hammer Horror Select Line!

I'm picking up both versions of the Creature I prefer the colours on the basic version but I want the base from the previews Excl. one. The Mummy's the one that I'm not sold on, then again I may end up with both

A Hammer Select line would be awesome if only for the chance at some decent Peter Cushing figures & a Vampire Lovers boxset

A TRU near me turned into a Super R US and I don't think too many people knew it was opened. I found a lot of great figures. And spent $350!!! I haven't done that since the Star Wars opening day.

I was suprised to see those JLU figures at TRU, since I thought Target had exclusive rights.

I'm kinda holding off on buying more anyway. The Paradaemon 2-pack on Matty's site was a bit expensive for me and I HATE how they overcharge for shipping.
I got my unslimed Venkman and when I can finally get a Winston on Cyber Monday I'll be through with those fuckers until more new Ghostbusters characters come out.
I've seen the holiday GB II box set several times, except when they were $10 off for that one week.

I did get Greyback from Harry Potter on sale for $9.99, and I found Zatanna from the DCUC walmart wave.

I've been sleeping, I didn't know anything about the Walmart DC wave until I saw Jungle Boy hanging on the pegs, he seems to be the one everydody leaves behind. My entire area was wiped clean. Hopefully they will get more in soon.

I also saw but were not mint enough for me to buy the new MU 2 packs, Bring on the repacks! Oh boy a Sentry thanks marvel for the the other 5 rehashes.
