saw the Johan Hex figures at TRU today. They look pretty awesome. between them & Freddy NECA has really brought their A-game lately.

The Megan Fox figure not only looks like her, but might actually have more personality than the real thing!

I found the fabled Rhino figure this weekend.
But I can't tell if it's the first version or if it makes a difference.
Becuase he was in the 3rd assortment with Hobgoblin.





I actually found two of each of all of these shown but this was fridays update.

on a few stops today, went by Target...saw the A-Team stuff. The figures are shit but the van looks pretty cool. I might buy it for my Joes. I never saw the Rhino clearanced down enough so they need a sweet ride.
Nothing new at TRU...just a lot of summer movie junk that'll no doubt sit there 'til xmas. I already miss the classic GI Joe & Transformers stuff.

finally got an assault on cobra island set. i had the defence set since it came out so i snagged this one for a good price and am only dissapointed in one way, outback. the figure i was probably most looking forward to (one of my favorite childhood joes from my brother) has terrible paint and realy loose leg joints. i guess it's just mine but it sucks cuz all the others were great. off to ebay i guess, unless anyone wants to trade.

I saw them and honestly they just didn't do it for me.

Target's basically giving away the movie Joe's. I got Baroness & battle damaged Storm Shadow for $0.88 each
TRU has the new Transformers video game figures. The Cybertron Bumblebee & Prime look pretty cool, and so does the jet (Thrust?) but they aren't part of TRU's current sale on TF's....so I can pass.
I did finally find Black Widow from the MU line, & IM2 versions of Guardsman & Titanium Man. All are pretty badass!

Aaand my Peter Venkman came in the mail last week. Now I have all the Ghostbusters!
Now I hope they do an Ecto-1 & GB II versions of everybody.
I missed out oh She-Ra. My wife kinda wanted her but it was no big deal. I quit collecting MOTU anyway. Too frustrating, too expensive, and Mattel's gone in a rut of making a lot of no-name B-level charcters lately.
Plus I'm still on kind of a hate-fuck relationship with Mattel anyway.

Also been taking advantage of some sweet DVD deals..Our Sam's Club is beginning to suck and a brand new Costco opened closer us so yesterday we decided to go in & look around.

Awesome store! I picked up S1, 2 & 3 of The Muppet Show for $12 each!
Goes well with the Fraggle Rock complete series I picked up on Amazon for $34 last week.
It was only priced that low for a day and now it's back up to $68!

Damn, I was soooo close to getting the new giant AT-AT with my 20% off TRU rewards coupon that was about to expire, when the manager said it wasn't supposed to go on sale until Aug. 1st and took it to the back room.

oh well, I did get the 2 new excl. Joe's at the 2 for $9.99 sale price

OK I finally saw the AT-AT for sale but now I have to wait, since C-V is 12 days away & counting...

Did pick up Marvel U Kitty Pryde, Colossus & Archangel, and so far all the SW vintage figures I wanted -Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Dak, Dengar & Hoth Leia - which is enough POP to send off for the rocket-firing vintage Boba.

I also saw the new IM2 set. The drones look pretty sweet but they really screwed up Nick Fury. I'm not sure if it's worth the $25

Well I'm TOTALLY thrilled I found the TRU exclusive Masterpiece Grimlock.
I had heard each store would only be getting one case & that was it.
They're already going for $150+ on eBay.
After hitting 4 different stores I finally found some!
There were 5 on the shelf & I wanted to go ahead & buy them all - not with any intention of scalping them, but helping out friends who couldn't get one.
So the sales lady looks at me and said I could only buy 2 because of the collectible rule.
I didn't make a fuss & picked up some other stuff I've been needing, like baby supplies & a new inflatable pool...then at checkout she told me the manager said I could buy the others if I still wanted them so I said hell yeah!

So as of now I "might" have takers on all of them. I'm still debating if I should keep an extra to open...If things change and if anyone here needs one I'll let you know.

I finally got a 6" mark V Iron Man. I'm disappointed that his breifcase doesn't open to store his extra hands. The little one at least had an opening port and dual missile launchers.
