US Toy finds

For those of us not lucky enough to be on the cool side of the pond.

Went to Target today, saw the Secret Wars 2-packs. Nice, but still not sold on this line at all.
I did get the new JLU Box sets. One has Gentleman Ghost, Lex, Devil Ray, Tala, Dr. Polaris & Psycho Pirate. The other has Hourman, Elongated Man, Mr. Terrific, adult Supergirl, Obsidian & Superman.
FINALLY they do box sets with 99% new characters!
Target also has some badass exclusive GI Joe mini-vehicles like the Cobra Eel, Assault Glider & Air Viper Commando so I picked up some of those, and some new figures like Hawk, Helix & the Crimson Viper. They look pretty badass and I hope most make it in the movie.
Also saw the Star Wars Turbo Tank. I love it but not at $100 bucks! Maybe when it gets red tagged for $50.
Also noticed Mattel has a new Toy Story figure line. Looks good but the detail for Buzz & Woody isn't on par with the ones the Disney store had a few years back but I totally fucking want them to do some claw machine aliens!!
No new DCUC, just the same Atom Smasher wave & Cyborg leftovers they've had for nearly a month.

TRU- Carrying the Mezco Cinema of Fear line, which is cool. They've also got some 3-inch Marvel exclusives like a 3-pack with a Yellow DD & a Kirby style Silver Surfer (not silver but more a frost looking paint), I forget what the 3rd guy was.
New animated Iron Man figures. Same scale as the X-Men animated. Don't see these fuckers moving anytime soon.
Also finally get the Brainiac & Clayface 2-packs, other than that just a bunch of Capt. Cold & blue Aquaman leftovers.

Wal-Mart didn't have jack shit since they're re-arranging the toy aisles. most of the Star Trek & Terminator stuff is reduced and moved in a corner aisle. And they must have made a stock room find of the ML Ares wave cause they had what looked like a fresh case put out.
Still a few Kalibak leftovers.

No sign of the Giganta wave nowhere.

I heard reports of other people with peg overflow of the ares wave I guess I should check the local wally world to see whats there. I've mostly been buying things online. like egon! the more reviews I read about him the more excited I get! I haven't been this excited about a figure since mezco's comic series trenchcoat hellboy.

Yeah Ghostbusters are gonna kick so much ass.
I hope they get to do an animated line.
Same scale & style as the JLU figures. Holy shit that would rule!

Went to the mall today & saw the new Harry Potter figures at Hot Topic. They look good (if not totally accurate), but at $16.99 I'm pretty sure TRU will sell them 4 bucks cheaper.
I did end up getting a pretty sweet GI Joe & Batman T-shirt.

Went shopping at Ross tonight and found a Star Wars AT-TE for $39.99!
That sucka's $100 everywhere else!
Hopefully I'll have similar luck with the Turbo Tank in a few months.

Picked up some other bits lately. Mezco's 3 3/4" CoF is out. I got Jason & Leatherface posed with my GI Joes.
Also picked up a couple of new PVC "Rock Star" figures in the same scale. I got Alice Cooper & Slash. They also had Ice-T & a Kiss box set but it looks kinda lame without a drum kit.

I haven't been to stores recently. but I've gotten a ton of trek items off ebay. I got the complete series of first contact figures, playmates captain scott, playmates dduty uniform picard, and DSt obrien

NY Walmart has restocked the Marvel Universe figs with extra DD's, Blades and a new Spidey....Secret Wars 2 packs aplenty as well.........And a LOT of those crappy GI Joe ROC toys..............DCIH Teen Titans 6 pack was there as well for $35.......But I think most of us are waiting for that one to go on clearance.

Finally found the DCUC Legends of Gotham box set. I used a coupon & ended up paying $37 for it.
I might repaint Catwoman cause that purple is really getting on my nerves. Just like I think the ML Iron Man needs an orange ink wash.

I did find the 6-inch Public Enemies figures. And a cool new Slave girl Princess Leia with interchangeable torsos.

As did I, I still need to find Black Lightning and Major Force.

I don't think those have been released yet.

Good to know I can stop looking for the Perverted White Ellephant than or whatever they call it.

Well lookie what I found at Wal-Mart last night...




They were just sitting on a shelf in a non descript toy aisle. Basically it's where they stick leftovers & crap that didn't sell over the summer.
My instinct was to leave 'em and finally move on from the whole ML drama, but since I thought I'd probably never see them ever again - and they rang up $10.49 each, I went ahead & got 'em.
I probably wouldn't have if I had found something better, and if the SW Dewback I wanted wasn't so freakin' expensive!

How much is the new Dewback? I've got two of the old POTF ones, the Dewback is cool but the Sandtrooper is awful. Still at least its an improvement on the vintage one that had the hole for the Stormtrooper to stand in

I named her after the Dethklok drummer. I also have a dachsund, Wally (as in West ) and my wife has 2 cats, Star and Legion.

The Dewback is $35, of course marked up because it's an exclusive like the $45 Scout Walker. I think I paid $20 for the POTF2 one and yeah he's really cool because you can move his head & jaw. I don't think you can on the new one, but he still looks pretty badass so I'll get him eventually. It's just kinda shitty he's so expensive because I want 2 for a desert patrol and then I'll put the older one outside my cantina playset.

We've got two cats as well. They're 3 months old but really well behaved. We've got a giant rabbit as well that lives in the house, he's been trying to mate with the cats with varying amounts of success

$35 doesn't sound too bad cos it is a lot bigger than the previous version. And its a completely new sculpt unlike most SW stuff these days, yeah no moving jaw on the new one. If it comes out here and its £35 then I'll definitely pick one up. Rebelscum have a good review of it here

yeah and Ironically When I saw these the first time my heart was racing of course, So I was frantically grabbing them before the Action Figure Police jumped out from behind the isle to ruin my day. And I was just looking at the tops of the cards for the figures I needed. And then I'm looking at them in my hands asking myself why do I have two Punishers?. No freekin way, a factory error and I'm Nova less. And I was for about a few weeks before finding them again.

I've never seen a heavy artillery IM in person.
