| this morning I woke up to someone knocking on my door... it was J Michael Straczynski & Jim Lee. Straczynski raised his hand and suddenly my wife & baby girl disappeared and now I'm 20 years younger and back home living with my parents. Then Lee raised his hand and now I look like this.... *sigh* I don't know HOW I'm gonna get myself out of this one. Does anyone know Geoff Johns' email? oh well, Happy 4th of July everyone, even if you're in the UK you can just celebrate Will Smith saving us from aliens | |

| yeah but I'm missing out this year.
the 4 day passes sold out on me and I couldn't get on with any VIP arrangements, so this year I'm going to Celebration V instead, with a stop off at Disneyworld for good measure!

There doesnt appear to be nothing great coming out and I bet there will be no new ML's on display.

| well this year it's all about the movie previews...Thor for sure and possibly Capt. America & Green Lantern. I'm sure we'll get the good shit leaked online. I also read where the Harry Potter cast might actually show up this year, too.
My guess is we'll see the same ML's we saw last year, but this time we'll know the sets & the release date. Honestly most the exclusives are no big deal...except maybe Gentle Giant's jumbo sized vintage Stormtrooper. There's also a light up Tron figure that looks pretty sweet. Everything else, like Orko, Plastic Man & Sgt. Slaughter I'm sure I can order online. I don't really give a shit about the suitcase and frankly the non-color change is way better.
C-V should be fun, though. Maybe I'll finally get to see ol' flannel beard in person. And I'm more than willing to wait in line for a demo of Old Republic!
so what's going on in Thailand? Anything special?
A friend of mine just came back from Glastonbury & said it was a blast. We were supposed to go together but I kinda bailed on him when I thought I might get into San Diego, so I was feeling guilty until he started posting all the cool shit he was getting into! He got in the VIP tent and got to meet a lot of artists, like Florence, Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Professor Green & some guys from Scissor Sisters. He saw Lily Allen, but nobody was allowed to get anywhere near her and she left pretty early.
He did bring me back a T-shirt so now I have to get him something Boba Fett related at C-V.

| The good shit always ends up online exclusives for me are the Orko, Plastic man (but like you I can live without the suitcase & I'd prefer non colour change orko) & the Dr Who stuff, I like the light up Tron figure but not a fan of the movie. | |

Nothing special in Thailand just felt like going on a proper 2 week holiday and maybe fisting a ladyboy.
SD was gonna cost a fortune

| yeah that's the thing, Glasto would've been a lot cheaper since I wouldn't need but half the spending money I'd take to sdcc. And I probably would've had more fun. When I saw the headliners I just lost interest. U2 haven't made a decent album since Achtung Baby and I have no fucking clue what the rest of the world sees in Muse. Then when Gorillaz took over & watched their set online...I wanted to punch a goddamn wall for not being there!
oh well, have fun with the whole manboy-fisting & all.
