| Well I saw this last night.
I wasn't impressed. It had it's too few moments but like I thought, it was too soon since the last Spider-man and the whole time I was comparing it to the first one. I didn't like Garfield's quirky Peter Parker and how he was an outcast skater boy instead of science wiz kid nerd always with his nose in a book. He was highly intellligent but it wasn't presented that way.
Emma Stone I liked, but her involvement at Oscorp as an intern while still in high school was no way going to be believable to me. She is suppose to be the beauty queen/model eye candy of everyone's affection, nothing more.
Captain Stacey was ok. I think Dennis Leary did a good job. May and Ben Parker on the other hand kind of clashed for me. I liked the original Aunt may way better.
And No Daily Bugle or Jay Joana Jameson. The original too would have been better, I guess they figured that was a no brainer so they left him out all together.
I give it a solid C+ | |

| Yeah I've been reading reviews and It's looking as average as I thought it would be. You can tell from the trailer that it just looks meh.
Cheers for the heads up as well Al looks like I'll defo be giving this a miss. I'll wait for the reboot of the reboot

| She's a beaut! HP Envy 17. 8gb Ram 1 tb HDD, BR Drive, Quad i7, Beats Audio with built in subwoofer. Cos I use design programs I tend to go for powerful Lappies I don't go for Desktops anymore. Don't care for them. So I thought I'd go overboard with this | |

| Finally saw it this weekend.
I liked it. Much better than I thought I would. I set my expectation bar somewhere between Green Lantern & Spider-Man 3 and wound up feeling like it was Batman Begins for Spider-Man.
I didn't like how Uncle Ben was downplayed, and I could've done without any references to Peter's parents or him working for Oscorp. Absolute unnecessary that kinda drug the movie down for me. And I hated how it took damn nearly an hour for him to be Spidey!
The best thing about the movie was Emma as Gwen Stacy. I thought they handled that part of it just right. Garfield as Parker was only so-so. The whiny mumbly "yo why you trippin'?" thing he kept doing was a bit annoying. I kept thinking to myself how the kid that played Peeta The Hunger Games would've made a much better Peter Parker.
Oh yeah...favorite Stan Lee cameo by far.
We decided to go all out & do the Imax. The 3D effects looked wonderful, especially the POV shots. There were a few of the Lizard battle shots in full Imax.
Now I'm just hoping we get a full-on payoff in the sequel. Preferably with a director that has a little more respect for the mythology.

| Another girl, and less than a month away! She's pretty big and it's hard for her to move around so the doc gave us a wheelchair and it got us ahead of the line for the midnight Imax Dark Knight Rises. We're gangsta like that! | |
