You're all gonna hate me but I rarely enjoy Ridley Scott films. Believe it or not the only films of his I liked were Bladerunner and Matchstick Men

What's more aggravating is that Guillermo del Toro says that Prometheus's similarity to At The Mountains Of Madness has kiboshed his longheld dreams of filming that Lovecraft adaptation. NOOOOOO!!!!

I saw this Trailer in the begining of the Avengers.

I thought it was an Alien revamp right from the get go.
You see the same big ass seat that Elephant head guy was sitting in but then I got all confussed again. Is this movie about those other big Aliens?

I've heard it's a straight up prequel to the first Alien. Ridley Scott said in the Alien commentary he's always wanted to go back & tell the story about the Space Jockey, so that's what Prometheus is, I think.
Yeah it does suck about Mountains of Madness.

To me it looks like a cross between Alien3 & Sunshine, so that's where I'm setting the bar.
