Hasbro’s MARVEL Marketing and Design team discusses current and upcoming Marvel based toys and action figures!

We are bringing you coverage of the panel live as it happens so be sure to update your browser often over the course of the next hour.

- David Vonner and Scott George and Dwight Stall are on panel.

- They introduce the NYCC Compound Hulk. They say they are close to being sold out.

- The Spider-Man Mini Muggs Box set. Both these will be sold on HTS after the con.

- The Avengers: 2012. Besides movie ones we have seen there will be comic ones. Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye are shown. There will also be Avengers Mini Muggs. Captain America vs Red Skull and Hulk vs. Abomination and Iron Man vs Iron Monger and Thor vs Loki. These are in comic book costumes.

- Wave 3 MU for 2012 Marvel Universe - Hercules (80's outfit) , Angel (Classicblue ) and a variant in red, Nighthawk, Nova in modern costume and Puck.

- 3-packs - New Avengers, Bleeding Edge Iron Man, Thor and Red Hulk.

- Wave 4 - Prof X in a suit with Hover Chair, Jubilee (possible variant), Blastaar (Variant, may have some blasting hands).

- 2012 Sneaks - Medusa from the Inhumans & Karnak, Black Knight, Bearded Thor with war helmet, Thor Frog

- Marvel Legends back in 2012. Danny Ketch Ghost Rider will be yellow flame and blue flame variant in wave 1.

- Wave 2 Anim Zola Build-A-Figure will have the Red Skull variant. Wrecking Crew will have Thunder Ball with Pile Driver running variant and the Madames. Madame Mask and Madame Hydra. Big Time Spider Man will have a Future Foundation running change. They have improved the Spider-Man sculpt.

- Wave 3 USAgent, Punisher inspired by Jim Lee (Punisher Armory comic) Blade, modern look.

- Archangel - 2012 but where?

- Fan Poll Favorite 90's Jean Grey. The picture is a work in progress. Pic will be uploaded soon.

- Stryfe is coming.

- Moonstar is coming.

- A new Emma Frost

- Dave implied Northstar is in the works. and an Avengers villain team like Masters of Evil for the MU line. Sasquatch

- Images from panel uploaded.

- Fing Fang Foom will have some shorts and possible a variant.

- Amazing Bag Man is coming and in a cool way. He hinted a Arcade is coming to for MU.

- More Wolverines are coming and Dave loves em all (Oh his boss is in the room).

- All movie figures shown today are new sculpts.

- Rogue is coming for MU. No plans for playsets but they would like to do them.

Loving the abundance of femal characters as suppose to DC's total sausage fest. Some great characters Can't wait!

Overall Im quite chuffed with the ML's

I'm looking forward to the MU stuff especially the X-men and Nova figures

I don't think I'll be able to afford the MLs and they'll probably be quite hard to get hold of. They look really good though.

Those spiderman figures are bloody awful.

I'm more excited by the MU's than the ML's based on the variety of characters shown lot's of Avengers & Cosmic characters. Also how fucked up is it that with Thor Frog we're two characters away from the complete Pet Avengers team

Aye I must admit Im loving their MU selection more but I do like that they've really thought hard about the ML reboot...well not hard enough as they still fucking whack in wolvie, IM's, Spideys etc etc

I'm gonna defend Hasbro there, they need the a-listers to get & keep retailers interested in the line & at least they aren't just rehashing the same versions over & over again.

Mattel manage it with DCUC, they don't seem to throw too many batmans and supes in.

They actually did by having an "All Star" character in cases be that Bats, Supes, The Joker etc with a stand instead of a CaC figure piece to keep retailers happy, but they are changing the focus of line to well known characters only at retail & using Matty collector to focus on other characters.

Yeah, that's what I mean to say

The "All Star" idea is the way to go for Hasbro IMO, break the BaF between 5 characters & then give the retailer appeasing character a unique base or accessories.

YES!! Absolutely thus freeing up more space for other figs they could also slap in the same figs for pegwarming as long as they don't have a BAF part. See I want Terrax but dont want Thor, IM or GR

They're wasting resources making yet another Punisher figure when he's only got minor variations on a single costume. Where's ML Silver Samurai, Titania & Sauron when we need them?

They can't even manage to get out Deadpool in decent enough numbers let alone anything new.

The MU line still isn't where it should be. I see a lot of fart arsing about but not much product hitting the shelves. I thought MU was the line where we got the vehicles, playsets and giants or am I confused?

I think the vehicles & playsets thing was internet speculation based on scale rather than anything else sadly.
