Steve Jobs dead

Its sad that he died after suffering from cancer for so long. RIP and thanks for the gadgets.

I can't help but think that the reaction to his death has got beyond crazy. People going on about how revolutionary his gadgets were, how he changed the world etc etc He didn't invent the computer, the MP3 player or the smartphone he simply refined existing technology. What he did invent however, was a gargantuan machine of a brand that has been very cleverly marketed and sold to pretty much everyone in the western world.

I think we should celebrate true pioneers like Tim Berners Lee, Joseph Baselgette, Paul Nipkow

Gol I hate to burst your bubble but Creative did it before iPod and this was evident when creative sued Apple for ripping off there navigation system on the mp3 player. Apple are good at one thing, marketing!

I was amazed how people bought into their product even after being shown better items. Its what made me realise that people just buy into anything if you stick a flashy advert on it

As for Steve jobs I find it sad that someone so young obsessed so much over his product that it pretty much killed him (metaphorically speaking) Its a lesson to all that money isn't everything

Ipads, Imacs and Iphones are a load of tosh.

The next PC, phone and MP3 player I get won't be Apple. I've encountered issues with my stuff that makes my blood boil. I have an Imac that's 4 years old and I can't play angry birds or install itunes 10 on it cos it uses 10.4 OSX and not 10.6. The guys at work can't get a signal on their iphones, though I get a full signal on a £69 nokia and they also can't use Flash on their Ipads.

In terms of Smart Phones, HTC and Samsungs kick ass and have more free apps compared to apple.

I still don't know why Apple refused to have flash play on its product. Im baffled by this
