Scalper State NJ still thinks it 1995

So I'm in TRU Secuacus NJ this past Saturday on Mill Creek Rd.
And I see that the Scalper state is still living up to it's name.

First I thought I could just wonder in and not have to wory about middle aged men grabbing figures and treasure hunts within seconds of the doors opening. I would swear it was 95' all over again. Haven't these guys got the memo from the last 15 years?

Anyway the one dude who had longer hair and balding must have had something set up for him. He had a Treasure hunt and two Destroyer Armor Thor figures in hand in record time. And there wasn't any room on the pegs for more Thor figures. Hmmm

The three of them were clammering over the new GiJoe figures. And Baldy felt the urge to hide 2 figures under the bottom shelf. (How lame) but it gets lamer, so I waited and took them out of spite and was going to put them back on the pegs for the next collector or kid that comes in. I saw him come back to get them, much to my delight, So I delayed and headed back to the Lego section to see if they had any sets that in my area of the Unmolested PA didn't have. I bought a Lego Combine (very cool farm tractor) I had one already but wanted a second because I thought it was discontinued. Anyway back to the gabronies, they freakin waited at the service desk area until I checked out to see what I was buying, they knew I took the figures.
So I was buying them out of spite now, it was the least I could do. The one guy conviently left a bottle of water at the check out counter as an excuse to come back while my stuff was being rung up. to make sure I still had them, And he says to me "You enjoy those now". And I told him "all you know it" and left

These guys seemed like collector/scalpers to me, the ones that even though they collect they take evey HTF figure regardless if they need it or not. Which is bullshit.

Why did they hide them?

There is nothing on the shelves here to scalp these days. It used to be pretty common but nothing like what I've seen in the US. Surely its an idiots game, I can't see how anyone could make much money driving about looking for stuff to resell on ebay.

Fucking assholes! I hate scalpers its like the one time I was waiting for the Apocalypse series of ML's to come out and the guy who worked at comic showcase leicester square knew I wanted them but rudely said I have to wait as there ar far more importan things to get through. I looked at him and said first off the CUSTOMER is more important, second I know you're waiting for your mate and third, get me your fucking manager. Manager came and I asked him to unbox the ML's for me and you can see the look on the other guys face, he wasnt happy, so I made him scan the items.

Also I fucking hate greed. Al you did the right thing to spite that asshole or assholes good for you mate.

Apart from the comic showcase thing only problem I had was in TRU when me and a guy hovered around the f4 movie figs for invisible girl. the guy spent 10 minutes holidng and looking at the damn fig then buried it and walked off as sooon as he turned the corner I grabbed the fig, looked for the guy and say...and I quote "Finders keepers, losers weepers" I swear I should have punched my fucking self F4 movie figs and F4 classics truely great figs apart finding a fucking johnny storm in human fomr ARGH!!!

I bet one of the guys looked like Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force:



He probably drives a beat up Camaro, too.


Maybe it's the older I get, but I can't believe these guys my age that still go pallet diving & brag about it on the Fwoosh boards.

Around here all that gets scalped up are McFarlane Sports figures & Hot Wheels.

I found a complete set of new Thor figures today and was pretty psyched about it.
I left an extra Destroyer that hopefully will make it into the right hands.
