FYI: it's Maynard from Tool's side project. A little more eclectic but still awesome! I saw them in concert a couple of years ago. They came out in full country & western gear & did hillbilly versions of some of their songs then came back on stage & blew everyone away!

Yeeeah, I'm gonna take your word on the last two, since America has disabled the link.
Kurt Vile is awesome. I became a fan of his when they used this song brilliantly at the end of last year's Eastbound & Down season finale.

They're originally from here in Houston but moved to Austin a few yrs ago & just put out a badass CD If you're a fan of Sonic Youth, Pearl Jam & alt./punk rock then definitely check them out!
This is one of their older videos, just so you know what they look like
although they recently got a new chick drummer

REALLY loving the Beach Boys "smiLe Sessions" CD set.
Basically it's the album they never got to finish and has the original versions of Good Vibrations & Heroes & Villains, one of my favorite songs ever:
(you might remember it being in Fantastic Mr. Fox)
It's got some pretty phenomenal vocal arrangements. It even makes my daughter happy when we play it in her room
