Tesco are doing Blu-rays for £5 there wasn't much in my local but I got that film with the midgets, I can't think of its name right now.

Patience is a virtue. I have been patiently waiting since I had the basic LOTR DVD's for the extended Blu Ray edition. This and The original Star Wars Trilogy will be my definitive must haves for this year...well that and Birds of a feather (hugely underated sitcom)

I've been waiting for the LotR extended versions on Blu-ray, not bothering with Star Wars but it looks like Akira is finally getting released on Blu-ray in June so that's a must buy.

I never watch the extra bits so the basic version is fine for me. My Tesco had the book of eli, quantum of solace, AVP and a few other things if you're planning on going.

They might not be in the DVD/games section. I found mine in a box display thing under the escalator.

The transfer is absolutely gorgeous!

And yeah I can't wait for the SW saga, either. I'm going straight for the deleted scenes!

That is what I wanted to know, any decent extras?

The only extras are a couple of trailer & tv spots, and a still gallery.

It's only a single disc, and since a lot went into the audio & picture quality I'm guessing there wasn't room for the docs from the 2001 DVD, so if you've got that version don't get rid of it just yet.

I was hoping the extras would've been included but I do have the 2001/2 edition so no worries.
