Looks Like Hasbro are sounding the Death Nail on the 6" MLs

So the next wave of 2-packs isnt coming out till 2011 so I doubt they'll be any new 2-packs on display at this year's SDCC (thats just a guess) They also claim they are gonna make an announcement soon on the 6" line which effectively means bye bye 6" which unless you are an ignoramus, we knew that was their plan all along.

I am going to disagree with you there, the use of the word plans is slightly too positive a term to use if they were just going to cancel them.

Maybe so but the last time they had "plans" for the line they switched to 2-pax and only bought them out once a year this is why I am sceptical with their use of the word "plans" here.

TBH I suspect when they say plans they may mean store exclusives the IM2 6"ers did rather well so that may have prompted them to re-evaluate the market or they could go down the direct to consumer route like mattel.

Yeah since the IM2 figures did so well at Wal-Mart, I'm assuming they're working out a deal to make the 6" ML line exclusive to them.

It makes sense. They're not moving at TRU. At my store the latest waves (Dum Dum Dugan, Stealth IM & Invisible Woman) are still sitting on a bottom shelf.

It will return in full force in 2012 (yay I win) in the mean time there's an Iron man legends line which with the exception of Titanium man & Crimson Dynamo is comprised of repaints of figures from the first film

I was facepalming the Iron man Legends line with all but 2 figures being repaints, but yeah Hopefully the amount of time they've given themselves means they won't fuck it up

well it took them about a year to improve the MU quality, so let's hope between now & then we can get some decent ML's.
